Artist's Statement

But Where Do We Play?

I am defined by being naturally very left-handed – multi-threading simultaneous thoughts – yet I hope to share my images and mumbles, as if they’re a clear voice in a dream-sequence.

I’m still studying pure abstraction, and loving Minimalism in sound and picture!

From charcoal on paper to 4K electronic cinema, from solo flute to Dolby Atmos, the artist’s weapons constantly evolve.

Now I have years of experience, constantly filtering my self-expression through the delightful cornucopia of media-making tools.

Video Art can mimic the conventions of music video, the fashions of feature film, it easily veers toward documenting another thing – dance or performance, or a moment in history.

It can mark the progress of a process.

Entice a viewer with the briefest glimpse, or reward duration of attention, like a trickster’s shaggy dog story…

I’m drawn to the spaces between these forms…I delight in leaving gaps, visual and sonic surprises, and on a good day, finding somewhere fresh to play!
